Cracking the code of cracked teeth

Course Information

Cracked teeth are everywhere. Some are obvious, some not. What is difficult is figuring out what needs treating and what doesn’t. We hope to help demystify the cracked tooth and make a clear roadmap for diagnosis and management, while emphasising a predictable, conservative decision-making process.

Learning Outcomes:
- Diagnosis of cracks
- Etiology of cracks, holistic considerations
- Endodontic considerations
- Patient communication and setting expectations
- Immediate management of cracks
- Conservative long-term management of cracks
- Direct and indirect restorations
- Considerations for the non-salvageable tooth
- Case Studies

Presenter Bios:
Dr Thomas Jaccarini and Dr Rose Allen long-time colleagues and co-founders of Loop Dental Co. working across multiple practices in metropolitan and rural South Australia pride themselves on high quality, conservative dentistry.

Thomas has been practicing since 2018 and Rose since 2015, both have a particular interest in preventative, restoration and prosthodontic care and believe in building strong patient relationships and tailoring treating to induvial patient needs.

Outside of practice, Thomas embraces a diverse range of interests and enjoys immersing himself in new hobbies. He is an avid cyclist and Formula One fan and when not in the clinic he loves to travel and discover new cultures and landscapes with his fiancé Julia.

Beyond Dentistry, Rose enjoys adventures with her husband, Evan, and son, William. Rose enjoys cooking for her family and friends, reformer pilates, pottery classes, going for walks with her miniature dachshund, Sampson, and relaxing with a good meal and glass of wine at the end of a busy day.
