Dentist Survey- on orthodontic retainers and retention
- SA Updates
You are invited to complete the below questionnaire: ‘A survey of orthodontic retention opinions among dentists in Australia’.
The survey is a research project being undertaken by A/Prof Maurice Meade and E/Prof Craig Dreyer, Orthodontic Unit, Adelaide Dental School, University of Adelaide.
Participation in the survey also provides you with the opportunity of entering a prize draw for $250. Entry is at the completion of the survey and is voluntary. Your prize draw entry details are separate and cannot be linked to your survey responses.
The aim of the project is to obtain information from ADA SA members regarding their orthodontic retention opinions and practices. All dentists are invited to participate – those who carry out orthodontic treatment and those who do not. The information will help inform dentists and provide further evidence to evaluate their own orthodontic retention practices. Additionally, aspects of the study may be highlighted that participants would like to see taught/discussed as continuing professional development courses and events. In addition, it will provide evidence on how we should manage orthodontic retention in our patients over the long term.
The study has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee at the University of Adelaide (approval number H-2023-294)
Questionnaires take less than 10 minutes to complete. Survey responses will be anonymous.
Please review the Participant Information Statement before agreeing to take part.
