An ageing patient population, widespread medication use and rising diagnosis of autoimmune conditions mean dry mouth is an increasingly common presentation in general dental practice. Appropriate diagnosis and management of xerostomia is important and impacts the success of many routine dental treatments.

Learning outcomes:
• Aetiology of dry mouth
• Complications
• Management strategies
•Update on Sjogrens Disease and salivary gland biopsy

Facilitated by Dr Jane Boroky (St Peters Dental Clinic), with over 30-year experience in hospital, community and private practice including the provision of salivary gland biopsies for diagnostic purposes, you will learn plenty of tips to better manage patients suffering from dry mouth.
