Speakers
Dr. Benlee Yap is a Specialist Orthodontist at Smilemore Orthodontics and the Adelaide Dental Hospital. He completed his BDS with honours in 2011 and practiced general dentistry in regional NSW. He returned to Adelaide to complete his DClinDent in Orthodontics in 2016. Dr. Yap is a Visiting Consultant Orthodontist at the Adelaide Dental Hospital and postgraduate orthodontic tutor. He holds memberships with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. He consults at Unley, Modbury, Willunga and Jamestown and provides the full range of fixed and removable orthodontics including early intervention in a personalised environment.
Dr. Emilija Jensen is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist who graduated with both her dentistry and specialist degrees from the University of Adelaide. With a passion for children's oral health, she is experienced in treating a wide range of paediatric dental conditions, from routine care to complex procedures, including those needed for orthodontics. Dr. Jensen is dedicated to providing compassionate, child-friendly care and helping young patients develop positive dental habits for life. She practices at Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where she strives to make every visit a positive and comfortable experience for children and their families.
Dr. Abhishek Mathew completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2020, receiving several awards, including the Excellence in Endodontics Award from the American Association of Endodontists, the Moore Medallion, the Sir Joseph Verco Memorial Prize, and the Health Partners Prize for Ethical Conduct. After graduating, he spent three years gaining valuable clinical experience in regional Victoria before returning to Adelaide in 2024 to pursue specialist training in Endodontics at the University of Adelaide.
Dr Isaac He completed his specialist training in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at the University of Adelaide with Distinction. Prior to undertaking post-graduate studies Isaac was a general dentist for seven years in private and public roles.
In addition to maintaining private practice in periodontology Isaac is passionate about teaching and he continues to tutor and examine dental students at the University of Adelaide. Isaac’s areas of special interest are the links between periodontal health and general health, non-surgical periodontal therapy, and treating children and adolescents needing periodontal care.
