Selecting the next generation of Dentist
- SA Updates
One of the many important activities of the Adelaide Dental School is our annual admissions process for prospective dental students. The current admissions process is a 3-step process involving The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT). In late November-early December 2023, we completed our admission interview process. We successfully interviewed 1000 applicants for dentistry, oral health and medicine over 21 sessions. We received the following feedback from our interviewers: “Very systematically organised”; “Helping shape the future of health” and “Multiple stations and examiners, examined broad range of competencies”.
On behalf of myself and Professor Richard Logan (Dean, Head of School, Adelaide Dental School), we would sincerely like to thank the following ADA (SA) members for their participation in the recent admission interviews, with many of them being involved for the first time and others returning again. We hope they can return again in 2024.
Renee Ashby, Abdullah Barazanchi, Wendy Cheung, Emma Chin, Susan Clift, Yung Seng Chee, Greg Cocks, Flora David, Angela Gaffey, Tony Halstead, Tessa Jensen, Viral Jani, Roshni Kalampattel, George Manos, Heidi Munchenberg, Tharaka Narayana, Anna Murray, Eleanor Parker, Saloni Singh, Asha Starr, Josephine Succar, Manuv Suri, Paul Toumazos, Don Wilson, Muhammed Yakin, Helen Yie
Participating as an admission interviewer is a rewarding experience. We are always looking for more admission interviewers to add to our current pool. If you would like to get involved and be part of the team in 2024, please don’t hesitate contact me.
