The new and improved Mentorship Program is in place of the previous. If you have been a mentor in the past and are interested in continuous, please let us know as this wont automatically carry over to the new program.

We require dentists who are passionate about mentoring and are keen to share their knowledge with the next generation of dentists.

The ADA SA Mentorship Program provides Bachelor of Dental Surgery students in their final year of study with the opportunity to connect with leaders from the private dental sector.

Our program is intended to facilitate, not restrict, mentor and mentee participation and enable them to explore the invaluable opportunities that will arise with such a relationship. The aim is to aid the development of an on-going relationship by meeting regularly and discussing matters relating to their dentistry studies and placement, within an organised and supportive framework.

This program is designed for both metro and regional.

Program Locations

This program will be available in the below locations:

  • Adelaide Metro.
  • Berri.
  • Canberra – note Canberra is only in the last block of study, 26th Aug to 8th Dec.
  • Davenport, Tasmania.
  • Hobart, Tasmania.
  • Mount Gambier.
  • Port Lincoln.
  • Whyalla.
  • Wyong, NSW.

What it means to be a Mentor as part of our Mentorship Program?

Attending an introductory event at the start of the year.

Attending up to four workshops throughout the year. This will be based on a roster dependent on mentor numbers. The workshops will offer a group learning experience where mentees will get to discuss real life case studies with a pool of mentors.

For regional locations, a link will be provided so mentors and mentees can attend the workshops online.

Why become a Mentor?

Mentoring isn't just about giving back; it's about shaping the future. Your knowledge and experience can be the catalyst for someone else's success. By becoming a mentor, you can:

  • Make an Impact: Influence and empower emerging talent.
  • Expand Your Network: Connect with like-minded individuals and expand your professional circle.
  • Enhance Your Skills: Mentoring is one of the best ways to learn and grow as a professional.
  • Leave a Legacy: Share your expertise and be remembered for the positive change you bring.

Where required, specific opportunities may require a budget.
